Summary of Position
A TBB122 Host or Hostess is responsible for providing legendary hospitality and service to all of our Guests at all times. This position is primarily responsible for warmly greeting guests on arrival, managing the wait, efficiently and quickly seating our Guests to a table that best serves their wishes, and providing an enthusiastic farewell as our Guests depart.

The Host or Hostess must continually develop and improve their menu knowledge and service techniques. The Host or Hostess must actively participate in pre-shift meetings and other training sessions. The Host or Hostess must be a team player, helping wherever and whenever needed to ensure that all Guests receive legendary hospitality. Finally, the Host or Hostess is required to maintain a positive, respectful and courteous attitude towards all Guests, team members and Managers at all times.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all menu items, including daily specials, improve that knowledge whenever possible and strive to share that knowledge as required by the guest.
  • Ensure that all Guests feel welcome and are given responsive, friendly and courteous service at all times.
  • Greet all Guests warmly and enthusiastically as they enter TBB122.
  • As quickly and efficiently as possible, escort Guests to their table and seat them properly.
  • If there is a wait for tables, make sure the wait list is managed efficiently, wait times are quoted accurately, and Guests are aware of seating at the bar, if any.
  • Respond immediately and appropriately to any situation where the Guest perceives less than legendary service or hospitality, including involving a Manager.
  • Inspect and clean assigned restroom every 30 minutes
  • Provide a sincere and appropriate farewell, and invitation to return to all Guests as they depart.
  • Provide warm, friendly and efficient service and hospitality so that every guest becomes a repeat Guest.
  • Clock in and out accurately according to your posted schedule.
  • Carry, stack, store and clean plates, glassware and utensils properly. Avoid unnecessary breakage, and do not carelessly throw small wares in the trash.
  • Maintain a clean host stand and address spills on the floor immediately.
  • Contribute to a positive, productive working environment for all team members at all times by maintaining a happy professional attitude while at work.
  • Demonstrate respect and courtesy towards all FOH, BOH and Manager teammates.
Qualifications:
  • No previous restaurant experience is required
  • Must project an attractive, positive and confident image to our Guests
  • Must be fluent in English
  • Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced setting while walking or standing for up to 8 hours per day
