Rental Sales Representative

The Rental Sales Representative schedules compact equipment rentals, coordinates equipment pick-ups and deliveries, and assists customers in purchasing the proper equipment for their application.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Rents compact equipment to the customer by describing available options, finding the best equipment for their projects, computing cost, and accepting payment
2. Receives, examines, and tags equipment to be repaired, cleaned, and/or stored
3. Prepares rental forms, obtains customer signature, and other information, such as required licenses
4. Reserves items for requested time and keeps record of equipment that is rented
5. Coordinates pick-up and delivery of equipment, when necessary
6. Assists walk-in customers with selecting the best equipment for their needs
7. Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations
8. Develops accounts by checking customers' buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features
9. Assesses competitors by analyzing and summarizing competitor information and trends to identify sales opportunities
10. Visit customer sites to evaluate needs and to promote products, rentals, and services
11. Assists internet sales with the completion of prior coordinated sales at their location, as needed.

1. Requires a high school diploma or equivalent
2. In-depth understanding of Company services and its position in the compact/agricultural equipment industry
3. Proven Inside Sales experience
4. Knowledge of sales process from initiation to close

1. This job operates in a parts store/repair/machinery shop environment
2. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
