Job Title: Senior Software Engineer IVA/Chabot Developer

Location: Kansas City MO/ Hybrid

What You Will Get To Do:

  • Design and develop conversational AI solutions using enterprise platforms (Soundhound Amelia, Boost.ai, Cognigy, Dialogflow, or similar)

  • Build and maintain integrations between IVA platforms and backend systems using RESTful APIs and microservices

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical specifications

  • Implement NLU training strategies, intent management, and dialog flow optimization

  • Write clean, maintainable code following object-oriented programming principles

  • Participate in code reviews and maintain version control using Git/GitHub

  • Track and manage work items using Atlassian Jira and Agile methodologies

  • Troubleshoot production issues and optimize IVA performance

  • Document technical designs, integration patterns, and deployment procedures

  • Stay current with emerging trends in conversational AI and automation technologies

What you will Bring:

  • - Conversational AI Experience: Hands-on development experience with at least one enterprise conversational AI platform:

  • - Soundhound Amelia

  • - Boost.ai

  • - Cognigy

  • - Google Dialogflow

  • - Or equivalent IVA/chatbot platforms

  • - Software Engineering Fundamentals:

  • - Version control with Git/GitHub (branching strategies, pull requests, merge workflows)

  • - Project management with Atlassian Jira (story tracking, sprint planning)

  • - Microservice architecture design and implementation

  • - Object-oriented programming (OOP) principles and design patterns

  • - Strong problem-solving and analytical skills

  • - Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

  • - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Preferred Qualifications

  • - Python development experience (scripting, API development, data processing)

  • - Java development experience (enterprise applications, Spring framework)

- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
- Experience with contact center platforms (NICE CXone, Genesys, Avaya, etc.)
- Understanding of NLP/NLU concepts and machine learning fundamentals
- Experience with API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI)
- Familiarity with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

Actual base salary will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to relevant skills, prior experience, education, demonstrated performance, and geographic location. New Jersey: The expected base salary for the position is between 150000 USD to 175000 USD. New York: The expected base salary for the position is between 150000 USD to 175000 USD. Washington: The expected base salary for the position is between 150000 USD to 175000 USD. California: The expected base salary for the position is between 150000 USD to 175000 USD. Colorado: The expected base salary for the position is between 150000 USD to 175000 USD. Maryland: The expected base salary for the position is between 150000 USD to 175000 USD. Illinois: The expected base salary for the position is between 150000 USD to 175000 USD. Massachusetts: The expected base salary for the position is between 150000 USD to 175000 USD. Minnesota: The expected base salary for the position is between 150000 USD to 175000 USD. Vermont: The expected base salary for the position is between 150000 USD to 175000 USD.
