Solutions from Restaurant Technologies (RT) allow commercial kitchens to operate smarter, safer and more sustainably. The Product Manager - Total Oil Management will set the vision and purpose for a rapidly growing business that eliminates the burden & risks of cooking oil handling for restaurant operators while converting used oil into clean burning biofuel. This role will work closely with customers to understand unmet market needs and identify growth opportunities that will add to the over 30,000 restaurants already utilizing RT's products and services. As product manager, you will determine the long term strategy for the product line and work cross-functionally to bring new solutions to market while driving revenue growth and margin expansion.

Working Location: Preferred location is Minneapolis, MN metro area but will consider remote candidates located in the continental US. Travel up to 25%.

Primary Job Accountabilities:

  • Develop a deep understanding of market dynamics including competitive landscape, macro trends, competitor and supplier offerings, and customer needs
  • Responsible for understanding how to position products/services against competitive solutions
  • Responsible for pricing strategy and execution on new and existing products, including annual price recommendations
  • Responsible for new product development including product strategy, roadmaps, business case development, forecasting, product requirements, cost targets, managing customer feedback, and leading the product launch
  • Support the operations organization to manage and improve product quality and delivery
  • Train the sales organization, distribution partners and customers on RT's products and solutions
  • Respond to inquiries from the sales organization to support new business opportunities and risk management
  • Collaborate with marketing to develop & update collateral and sales tools to help drive awareness of RT's solutions
  • Development/refinement of RT's value proposition, including the development of ROI tools to demonstrate the value the products/services bring to customers
  • Analyzing data and providing recommendations/forecasts

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing or engineering
  • 5+ years of professional work experience
  • Cross-functional leadership - ability to lead complex projects involving stakeholders across multiple functions and facilities
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Strategic mindset with a focus on execution and delivery of results
  • Experience partnering with customers and engineering in the development and management of new and existing products/services
  • Successful track record of problem solving, idea generation, and project execution
  • The ability to flex between strategic and tactical activity
  • Highly motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset and the ability to work independently
  • Ability to analyze data and recommend action based on the information
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
  • Willingness to travel domestically - up to 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MBA
  • B2B Product Management Experience
  • Experience serving customers in commercial kitchens / food service
  • Experience with automation and remote monitoring services
  • Experience defining user interfaces and dashboards
