Quadis seekinga Night Shift General LaborerInk Manufacturer for our Hartford, WICR/T location (please note this isnotthe Print Plant off of Hwy. 60).
About CR/T
Founded in 1982, Chemical Research/Technology (CR/T) is Quads ink manufacturing subsidiary. As one of the largest ink manufacturers in the country, it is responsible for the development, testing, and support of inks, coatings, and related materials used in Quads print and manufacturing operations. The team focuses on formulation, material performance, and process compatibility to ensure consistent production outcomes across platforms.
About the Role
Join a specialized team at Quad's CR/T facility, where we manufacture the resins and inks that power our printing operations nationwide. As an Ink Maker, youll play a key role in manufacturing the ink by the use of manufacturing equipment such as vertical post mixers, twin screw extruders, horizontal bead, and 3 roll mills, as well as dry powder feed systems. Other responsibilities include forklift operation, along with railcar and tanker truck unloading. The starting wage for this position is up to$20.00/ houror more,depending on experience. You will receive an additional $3.00 night shift premium for working the night shift. This is a hands-on role in a dynamic industrial environmentnot a traditional print shop.
Qualifications
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift, from 7 p.m. - 7 a.m. (Monday-Wednesday) , with opportunities for overtime.
- The successful candidate must be able to thrive in a team environment and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Experience in pigment ink manufacturing is desirable; however, we are willing totrain the right candidate.
- Previous forklift experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office/Windows-based software is strongly desired.
- The ability to perform basic math calculations is essential.
- The ability to lift 50 lbs. or greater is required.
