DATA CENTER TECHNICIAN
OVERVIEW
We are currently seeking a Technician that will be a critical member of a U.S.-based global systems integrator providing technology solutions and services for commercial and government clients. This is an outstanding opportunity to gain skills and experience to build a career in Data Center Operations with the world's leading Technology companies. This is a contract role with the potential to become a permanent position with our key client with multiple Data Center locations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Will execute Cable Pulling methods on Datacenter installation projects
  • Execute tasks by following specifications provided by team leadership
  • Learn and Execute in fast paced environment
  • Perform duties utilizing industry best practice and emphasize safety standards and guidelines
  • Maintain an outstanding record of attendance and on-time reporting for work
  • Think strategically and demonstrate leadership skills
  • Provide great customer service and deliver projects according to the customer's expectations
  • Travel to the different locations in the Columbus area

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 0-3 years of relevant industry experience
  • The ability to understand project specifications and execute assigned tasks
  • Basic knowledge of power and hand tools
  • Successful track record of problem solving and troubleshooting
  • Demonstrated ability to be on time and punctual on consistent basis
  • Must have dependable transportation to reach multiple data center locations.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
  • Must complete video safety and job training required before the start date.
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds, climb ladders, stand on feet for extended periods
  • Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required: Electric Nippers, Gloves, Hard Hat (assistance provided if needed).
  • Required Attire: Khaki Pants/Clean Jeans, Polo or Button Down casual shirt

EDUCATION
  • High School Diploma or GED required,
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • BICSI and industry certifications - preferred
