Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Environmental Engineer to join our team! In this role you will get to support and/or lead engineering assessments and other related activities for a variety of Environmental remedial design and construction projects ranging from the initial investigation phases through the final stages of remedial implementation and long-term management, collaborating with different project teams within our Environmental Practice group all across the Northeast. Ideally this person would be located in the Northeast, reporting to an office in the Northeast. Remote options may be concerned.
The ideal candidate has ambition to learn the business side of the industry and work towards leadership positions within 5 years.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Completes a variety of assignments such as preparing design drawings, technical specifications for procurement and construction, technical presentations, leading meetings, and developing work products for client and regulatory agency reviews.
- Reviews contract submittals and performs technical bid analyses.
- Prepares engineering computations, material quantity takeoffs, estimates, surveys, and designs.
- Prepares and issues specifications, data sheets, and other construction documents.
- May be required to provide the seal and signature of the professional engineer, as appropriate, ensuring compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and ordinances.
- Provides technical guidance to CAD Designer/Drafters, Designers, and junior-level Engineers working on the same project.
- Support Proposal efforts for new opportunities.
- Provide mentorship and development of Junior Engineering staff.
- This role may involve significant client interactions in technical presentations, meetings, and development of work products anticipated for both client and regulatory agency review.
- Ability to collaborate and cross-sell with other Parsons engineering divisions including Federal, Transportation, and infrastructure groups.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (or related field) and typically 10+ years of related work experience.
- New York Professional Engineer registration strongly preferred, or ability/intent to obtain within 1 year. Professional Engineer registration is required for advancement.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Workload is expected to occur 90% in office, and 10% in the field, which may vary depending on new project opportunities. Parsons is proud to support flexible work schedules where possible, including a mix of in-office and work-from-home options.
- Strong independent work ethic, flexibility to adapt to rapidly shifting client priorities, and agility/eagerness to lead challenging unique projects and assignments.
- Works efficiently to accurately perform complex engineering tasks.
- Consulting business acumen, or interest in developing
- Familiarity with CAD and other PC software packages typically associated with engineering, and ability to provide guidance and direction to Project Designers utilizing this software is required.

Salary Range: $86,700.00 - $151,700.00
