Our products can help to reduce costs, improve efficiency and increase bottom line performance.Supplylogix is a key business in the Pharmaceutical Technology and Innovation Group (PTIG) within the U.S. Pharmaceutical business of McKesson.THE ROLE:The Supplylogix VP/GM will have full responsibility for the P&L, growth and operations of the business, including strategy development and execution; innovation; revenue and sales growth; expense, cost and margin control; annual budget management; customer success; and team talent strategies and employee engagement.The role is also responsible for providing leadership for the following Supplylogix functions: Product Management, Technology Development and Operations, Customer Support and Services, Implementation, and other general operations. The successful candidate will report to the SVP of PTIG and will be a key member of the PTIG leadership team. The VP/GM will manage a team of 25+ employees mainly located in Las Colinas, TX and remote locations, with direct reports and strong relationships with Finance, HR, Legal, Marketing, Sales, and Compliance leadership.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Strategy and Vision:- Establish a clear vision for the business that is aligned with company values; set specific challenging and achievable objectives and action plans; motivate others to balance customer needs, budgets, and business success; challenge self and others to look to the future to create quality products, services, and solutions.
- Identify and support enhanced customer value opportunities when aligning multiple McKesson solutions in the market and in support of the McKesson Strategic Playbook.
- Analyze competitive product environment and adjust the Supplylogix product strategy to maintain market leadership.
- Understand market dynamics, product and service strategies to drive growth, and assess opportunities and risks of an innovation roadmap.
- Deliver against a technology roadmap to ensure the solution platform remains modern, scalable and secure.
- Meet or exceed leveraged growth, revenue and profit expectations for the business.
- Partner with Finance leadership to analyze and manage financial metrics and levers in support of the annual budget and long-range plan.
- Build and maintain a personal relationship and perspective with key customers including those on the Supplylogix Customer Advisory Board.
- Establish and foster relationships with leaders within the U.S. Pharmaceutical business including the Health Systems segment leadership, Retail segment leadership and members of Corporate Strategy and Business Development. Assure alignment on industry dynamics, business strategy and customer relationship management.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with CoverMyMeds businesses and leadership team; with a strong focus on integration, innovation, and shared customer relationship management.
- Support key industry relationships, directly or via leadership team, with the distribution segments and supplychain teams, and retail and specialty pharmacy chains. Leverage these relationships as a thought leadership and program influence channel.
- Create a culture focused on clients receiving world-class service in every phase of their Supplylogix relationship, from initial implementation to roll-out to on-going support and maintenance.
- Constantly strive to upgrade Supplylogix execution, through defining departmental, team and individual SLAs and operational metrics; regular review of metrics; and development of appropriate remediation activity as required. Meet or exceed all contracted performance metrics.
- Balance short-term execution of daily, weekly and monthly tasks with building the required infrastructure to support future growth. Analyze operational practices for effectiveness and practicality, while influencing a culture which is innovative in the approach to solutions.
- Accountable for leading staff in accordance with McKesson standards of leadership excellence.
- Develop an organization and culture that attracts, selects, and retains high-caliber, diverse talent that can successfully achieve or exceed business goals to build a cohesive team that works well together and across other business segments.
- Partner with HR to drive a proactive, ongoing talent strategy specific to pharmaceutical solutions and technology excellence.
- Demonstrated success developing a strategy to grow profitably. A P&L leader that can establish the rigor in an entrepreneurial environment.
- Deep knowledge of the healthcare/provider sector and how it functions.
- Ability to collaborate with and understand the needs of C-level executives and help translate those needs to an actionable plan. Demonstrated ability to communicate technical concepts and implications to business and policy decision makers and clients.
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, including formal presentations for all levels of management combined with strong collaboration/influencing abilities.
- Strategic business acumen, financial acumen, and proven organizational, management, and leadership skills.
- Demonstrated collaborative style, with ability to influence diverse teams and build strong relationships.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking, problem solving and critical thinking abilities.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate complex and often contentious issues; reach consensus and work through people to achieve key goals.
- Ability to leverage technical expertise as needed to achieve business objectives.
- Willingness to travel domestically to support market opportunities.
- BA/BS Degree. MBA preferred. Business or related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum 5 years senior management experience required.
- Travel 25%
