Current Need

The McKesson Project Management team is hiring a Project Manager in either Irving TX, Alpharetta GA, Richmond VA, Columbus OH, or Quebec Montreal Canada.

Position Description

The Project Manager in the North American Finance Shared Services Transformation Office will plan, organize, monitor, and oversee one or more projects to meet defined requirements or business specifications. The project manager will also collaborate and partner with other McKesson Project Managers as required to deliver projects and workstreams that are part of strategic programs for the organization.

The project manager will establish the project plan, action tracking tools, and controls as required to manage the project(s) and workstream(s). Ensures the implementation of PMO governance, project measurement and monitoring, and controls required to monitor the overall health of the project and performance to the business case. May oversee customer business requirements, providing non-technical and some technical support and direction.

This position is in a matrix type of organization, where the position does not have direct responsibility over resources and systems development but does have overall project management responsibility.

Minimum Requirements

  • Business experience - 4+ years related professional experience

  • Project Management experience - 4+ years related project experience

Critical Skills

  • Experience with MS Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

  • Works under limited direction

  • Experience managing technology and / or automation projects

  • Ability to collaborate, influence and gain commitment from multiple stakeholders

  • Strong communication and presentation skills

  • Strong business acumen

  • Highly organized with attention to detail

  • Strong Teamwork and interpersonal skills

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and to be flexible in a fast-paced work environment

Additional Knowledge and Skills

  • Knowledge of technologies used in Financial Shared Services Organization is a plus

  • Experience with automation technology such as Jiffy, RPA, Amelia, etc. or Experience with enterprise financial systems / tools is a plus

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required

  • PMP and/or Agile certification is a plus

  • Six Sigma certified Black Belt or Green Belt is a plus

Environment

Traditional office requirements.Large percentage of time performing computer-based work is required.
