Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon

OrthoVirginia, the premier orthopedic/musculoskeletal practice in Virginia, has opportunities for fellowship-trained, board-certified/board-eligible Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeons to join our practice in the Richmond and Blacksburg, VA areas.

About OrthoVirginia: OrthoVirginia is the premier orthopedic practice in the state of Virginia. We have specialists in physiatry, general orthopedics, joint replacement, spine surgery, sports medicine, hand and foot & ankle surgery, rheumatology, sports medicine-trained primary care physicians, and physical and occupational therapy. We also have MRI, injection suites, after-hours clinics, surgery centers, and expanded therapy services.

Position Overview: The successful candidate will work alongside specialists in general orthopedics, joint replacement, sports medicine, and orthopedic trauma. Our practice offers a direct pathway to becoming a shareholding physician and the potential for participation in ancillary revenues such as imaging and physical therapy.

This is a private practice/partnership track opportunity. As such, candidates should be prepared to participate in general orthopedic call.

Qualifications:

  • Strong background in Pediatric Orthopedic Surgery
  • Trained to care for general orthopedic conditions
  • Board Certification/Eligibility
  • MD or DO degree
  • Active/eligibility for Virginia state licensure

Common Procedures:

  • Treatment of congenital deformities (clubfoot, hip dysplasia)
  • Pediatric fracture care
  • Scoliosis surgery
  • Limb lengthening and reconstruction
  • Management of pediatric sports injuries
  • Treatment of neuromuscular conditions (cerebral palsy)
  • Pediatric joint preservation procedures
  • Growth plate surgery
  • Pediatric orthopedic trauma care
  • Management of bone and soft tissue tumors in children
