Overview

JOB SPECIFICS

  • Illinois Neurological Institute and OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, Illinois, is seeking an inpatient, full-time, Neurohospitalist to expand our team.
  • Enjoy flexibility with a 7 on 7 off schedule
  • The role involves comprehensive management of adult neurology patients in an acute care setting, including making diagnostic and treatment decisions in the ED, determining suitability for thrombolytic and/or endovascular stroke treatments, managing a range of routine and complex inpatient neurologic conditions, and collaborating across multiple medical disciplines
  • Potential academic opportunity with Family Practice residents from the University of Illinois College of Medicine at Bloomington
  • No hospital call
  • Participate in quality improvement measures within the neurology department and the hospital for neurology-specific matters
  • Visa Sponsorship Available: J1 and H1b visa sponsorship options are available.

  • Full time, clinical base salary pay range for this position: $314,137-$450,000
    • Range shown should be used as an estimate and can be impacted by many factors including but not limited to the critical need of the position, overall experience and qualifications, community need, and other considerations. Additional compensation components may be applicable such as bonuses or incentives which may or may not be based on metric achievement.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Physician Licensed to practice medicine in current state.
  • Licensed by the Federal Drug Enforcement Administration and the State of Illinois to prescribe narcotics, if applicable.
  • Board certified or board eligible in the appropriate specialty(ies). Obtain and maintain medical staff membership and appropriate privileges.
  • Must be eligible as a provider for Medicare, Medicaid, and other federal health programs.
  • Physician shall meet all qualifications to participate in OSF's programs for professional malpractice and other liability coverage.
