Responsibilities

The Oncology Navigator (ONN) is responsible for managing the care of identified patients with cancer, in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, to ensure access to high quality care throughout the continuum. The

Qualifications

REQUIRED

 

  • Active Professional Registered Nursing licensure in the state of Georgia.
  • Master's Degree in Nursing from an accredited university and two (2) years of recent direct oncology nursing care experience OR Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited university and three (3) years of recent direct oncology nursing care experience OR Associate Degree in Nursing with five (5) years of recent direct oncology nursing care experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point).
  • Maintains oncology nursing certification or completes at least 36 hours of oncology-specific continuing education in a 3-year period.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills applying oncology nursing education, knowledge and experience.
  • PREFERRED

  • Previous experience working with culturally diverse populations.
  • Strong working knowledge of healthcare systems and community resources.
  • Masters of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited university.
  • Oncology Nursing (OCN) certification.
