Job Title: Devops Lead
Location: Chicago, IL (Day 1 Onsite)
Duration: Long Term Contract
Rate Must be on W2.
Job Description:
  • DevOps Engineer with any cloud experience preferably AWS.
  • Should have expertise in scripting.
  • Require experience in designing end to end CI/CD pipelines to build and deploy microservices based application on cloud environments .
  • Require keen eye on automation gaps and able to produce automation optimization approaches for changing CI/CD requirements .
  • Understand Infrastructure as a code and require implementing best practices to promote applications to Prod .
  • Require experience in configuration management and understand externalization approaches to parameterize dynamic values.
  • Require adapting to new tools and tech-stack as and when needed. Understand security aspects of cloud Infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines .
  • Understand deployment best practices and implementation level knowledge on monitoring tools is required.
  • Strong work ethic with ownership and accountability.
  • Ability to work with minimum guidance.

Technical skills :
Must have :
  • Good hands-on experience with AWS Services like (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, CloudTrail, CloudFront, Lambda, EKS, ECS, IAM Roles etc.)
  • Infrastructure As Code tools like Terraform Cloud Formation Templates and Code Pipeline. Ability to develop IAC scripts from scratch
  • Good Scripting skills with one of the scripting languages pythons and Powershell/bash
  • Understand micro-services based architecture and working experience with docker and Kubernetes preferably on cloud EKS/AKS/GKE.
  • Working experience on Kubernetes add-ons and tools like Dashboards, Helm, ISTIO, App Mesh and Prometheus. Ability to debug issues in Live environment
  • Understand source code management and configuration management and have experience in any one of SCM tools Github/tfs/bitbucket & CM tools like Ansible/Chef/Puppet
  • Understand Continuous Integration as process and have working experience with TeamCity/Jenkins/CircleCI/Harness
  • Understand Continuous Deployment and delivery and work able to work release orchestration . Have working experience in any deployment tools like Helm/ArgoCD/XLDeploy/OctopusDeploy/IBM UrbanCOdeDeploy/Spinnaker/Harness
  • Working experience with Development Methodology like Agile (JIRA) including Kanban and Scrum

Experience with any Telemetry stack like EFK/ ELK /Splunk/ Datadog/Dynatrace
