Your Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, ordering necessary diagnostic tests, and crafting personalized care strategies
• Diagnosing and treating acute, episodic, or chronic conditions, working collaboratively with physicians or independently according to your credentials
• Providing education to patients and families concerning prevention, wellness, and disease management
• Prescribing medications and other therapies within your practice scope

Educational Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program

Certifications Needed

• Active Nurse Practitioner licensure in Texas
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP, or ANCC) or an equivalent specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to obtain them within 90 days)
