Description
Full Time, Monday through Friday, 8:30-5:00. Times may vary depending on the daily schedules.
General Summary:
Under direct supervision, performs duties associated with urodynamic testing and medical assistant procedures of the Michigan Institute of Urology. Sets up urodynamic procedural equipment and supplies. Cleans, disinfects and sterilizes equipment after use. Knowledge of cold sterilization and maintenance of such solutions. Perform and records patient vital signs. Accurately documents procedure specific memos. Ability to operate and document on Electronic Health Records. Mix and administers injections/instillations on the order of the physician. Insertion and removal of urinary catheters. Prepares for physician/urodynamic schedule, checks patient's charts for ordered testing, blood work, studies and ensures that results are in the patient medical record.
Must have 1- 2 years of experience in Urodynamic testing. Travel may be included from one office to another.
Qualifications
- Education: High School graduate/ GED; must have Medical Assistant Certification
- Experience: 1 year of medical assistant office experience required
- Certification: Medical Assistant Certificate required from an accredited school
- Skills: Demonstrates organization, self motivation, good communication and interpersonal skills. Must have basic computer skills/knowledge.
