Population Health  JOB TITLE: Scientific Partnership Enablement Operations Leader, Scientific Partnerships & Population Health  GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION The Scientific Partnership Enablement Operations (SPO) Leader is responsible for enabling operational excellence, governance, and scalable processes in support of scientific partnerships with external healthcare entities (HCEs) and data partners. This role supports evidence generation needs across therapeutic areas for the US business, working closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure compliant, efficient, and high-quality execution of external research collaborations. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES  
  • Identify, assess, and prioritize potential healthcare entities (HCE) and data partners to ensure alignment with scientific, operational, and compliance criteria.
  • Develop and operationalize institutional pathways to enable and scale external scientific engagements, including:
    • Confidential Disclosure Agreements (CDAs), Master Research Agreements (MRAs), Governance and approval processes
  • Support execution of Scientific Affairs partnerships with select external HCE and data partners and third-party strategic vendors to ensure effective, compliant delivery of research.
  • Execute research contracts, including data and/or HCE master agreement lifecycle management, from initiation through execution, in close collaboration with:
  • Business Strategy & Operations (BSO), Contracting and Procurement, Legal, Privacy, and HCC stakeholders
  • Lead external partner engagement prior to and during MRA negotiations, maintaining strategic alignment in close partnership with the Director, SPO.
  • Provide project and portfolio-level management for data and HCE partnership-related research activities, including:
  • Milestone and budget oversight, Metrics tracking and reporting, Development of progress summaries and executive-ready visualizations, Regular communication of status, risks, and dependencies to leadership
  • Support tracking and management of existing partner contracts, including:
    • Third Party Agreements (TPAs), Renewals and terminations, Purchase orders, invoicing, and accruals, Use of internal systems (e.g., WESS, eMP, Ariba)
  • Perform data onboarding and stewardship activities, including:
    • Data cards and documentation, rHEALTH stewardship, Data linkage implementation, End-to-end ownership through implementation
  • Track and manage data license contracts, including renewals, updates, and terminations.
  • Assist with development, review, and quality control of data licensing and intake processes, reports, and best practices for data optimization.
  • Support horizon scanning and enablement tools (e.g., Starburst, Data Catalog, Data Dashboard) to ensure accuracy and currency.
  • Assist in maintaining National Accounts and Field Team playbooks, as needed.
  • Own review and approval of team documents requiring system-based approvals (e.g., iMR, IMPROVE) to support compliant external engagement.
  • Support engagement with third-party vendors in planning and execution of steering committees, advisory boards, consortiums, and working groups.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE JOB
  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience in a related field (e.g., Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy, Public Health, Computer Science).
  • 3–5 years of pharmaceutical or life sciences experience preferred.
  • Working knowledge of healthcare research methodologies, including data-driven research using health or operational datasets.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Forms, Project).
  • Familiarity with business analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Comfort and working fluency with AI-enabled tools and applications, as applicable to operations and analytics.
  • Understanding of healthcare data structures, organization, and common data sources.
  • Knowledge of data governance, privacy, and compliance requirements related to data access, approvals, and communications.
  • Experience working in a matrixed environment, influencing without formal authority.
  • Experience across multiple research settings (e.g., pharma, academia, consulting) and data types (e.g., claims, EHR/EMR, hospital billing) preferred.
  • Experience managing relationships with external partners and vendors in scientific, health system, or industry settings.
  • Ability to read and interpret master-level research and data contracts.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and listening skills

  • Up to 40 hrs / week (Mon – Fri)
  • Generally, within the hours of 9am – 5pm EST, can be a remote or hybrid position (Horsham or TTV sites)
