Reservationist

JEAN - GEORGES RESTAURANT IS LOOKING FOR RESERVATIONISTS! * CANDIDATES MUST HAVE OPEN AVAILABILITY, INCLUDING BREAKFAST, LUNCH, DINNER, & WEEKENDS * The Reservationistis responsible for coordinating and managing all reservations.As a Reservationist for Jean-Georges, you will be part of our Reservations Department securing reservations for the restaurant. Your key responsibility will be to manage the day-to-day operation of Restaurant Reservations and to accommodate client requests in a timely manner, oversee bookings, and guest database, handle large parties and the process of taking, recording, changing, and canceling reservations, and support with various administrative and clerical functions.

Responsibilities (these are not all-inclusive) Efficiently and accurately handle reservations, cancellations, and a variety of inquiries received from guests, and redirect these inquiries to the restaurant as needed Responsible for maximizing bookings by delivering a warm & friendly, yet efficient reservations service Speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations and responds well to questions Develops a working knowledge of the menus Deliver exceptional service consistently and anticipate guests' needs Operate ethically to protect the image of the Company Maintain a good working relationship with others by promoting teamwork and fostering a harmonious working climate Demonstrates flexibility and patience; possesses an interest in people Maintains a high level of sensitivity and confidentiality regarding personal and medical information from guests that are shared Helps train new department team members Organize all reservations and guests using the most effective guest and restaurant-conscious procedures. Professionally and effectively communicate with guests to ensure guest satisfaction. Maintain guest relationships to promote repeat business.

Implement quick and efficient decisions based on guest and/or restaurant needs. Provide the highest quality service to guests at all times. Awareness of all guests' needs, reservation needs, and restaurant needs at all times.

Create and maintain a database with local concierges Utilizing Resy to the best of its capacities. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required or requested Knowledge, Experience & Skills 1 year experience in similar field Displays a pleasant and cheerful disposition. Able to communicate professionally and effectively with both guests and staff.

Must have basic math skills and be capable of operating department-specific software and applications. Available to work late nights, holidays, and long shifts if necessary.
