Staff Accountant

Islands Restaurants is now hiring for a Staff Accountant for our home office.

Duties Include:

• Ensuring timely data reconciliation/entry of approximately 300 invoices per week
• Ensures proper approval is obtained for all invoices as required per company policies
• Coordinating and resolving issues with vendors and restaurants
• Working with management to solve problems
• Maintaining Paperless filing system and assist in weekly check runs
• Processing accruals for assigned accounts and participate in monthly financial statement review
• Creates and reports on Capital Appropriation Requests in Excel
• Utilizes Utilities web Platform to upload invoices and accruals into Epicor

Required Experience:

• Degree in Accounting w/ two years of prior experience
• Intermediate Microsoft Office and general computer skills
• Knowledge of accounts payable principles, procedures, and standards
• Strong organization skills and ability to meet deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Should be comfortable communicating with all levels of the organization in an accurate and professional manner
