Description of the job functions the contractor will be expected to perform.

We are looking for a talented and highly effective Senior DevOps Engineer to join our development and support team. We are currently supporting, enhancing and maintaining the statewide MDHS system. The enhancements include use of latest technologies as needed to interface/integrate with other systems on different platforms and automation of current processes.

Required Skills/Experience

Provide the minimum required skills and/or experience the contractor must possess to qualify for this position. These

requirements will be transferred to the Score Sheet and candidates without these requirements reflected on their resume will NOT be presented to the manager for consideration.

Experience in Designed, configured, and managed public/private cloud infrastructures 10 Years

Experience in Cloud Computing, Build and Release, DevOps, and Linux Administration 10 Years

GIT to synchronize with the chef-repo and then manage it as if it were source code 4 Years

Ability to provide subject matter expertise on system architectures 3 Years

Version Control tools such as Subversion/Git Branching, Merging Strategies, and migrating projects from

Subversion repositories to GitHub Enterprise repositories 5 Years

Analyze system specifications, translate system requirements & technical strategies for architecting On- Premises infrastructure, and supervise the development of DevOps work streams to form a basis for solving information processing problems 3 Years

Implement and administer Atlassian JIRA, Confluence, and Jira Service Desk.

3 Years

Experience training end users on software 3 Year

Ability to provide recommendations regarding enhancements to the systems and processes 3 Years

Experienced in all phases of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using software methodologies like Agile, Waterfall, and TDD and implementing various design patterns 3 Years

Preferred/Not Required

Provide any skills/experience that would be helpful for the candidate to possess but not required. Examples: Previous supervisory experience, WebLogic experience helpful, etc.

• Ability to effectively communicate in English verbally and in writing.

• Strong oral and written communication, and time management skills.

• Strong presentation and facilitation skills.

• Ability to work independently but effectively with a team to accomplish team projects and solve technical problems.

• Ability to conceive and/or develop creative solutions and possess strong problem-solving skills.

• Experience with SCRUM /Iteration methodologies.

• Experience with Jira Software.

• Ability to work on many projects at one time.

• Experience converting out dated technologies to new cutting edge technologies.
