DevOps Engineer

Job Location: Greene County, OH (Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio) Job Type: Full-time Key Duties:

  • Setup, transition, and administer Kubernetes and Docker services to enable Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines in a cloud-based environment.
  • Ensure software and network resources are organized and prepared for conversion to an SOA (Services Oriented Architecture).
  • Implement a services-based network architecture to include Docker, Kubernetes, and other local or customer software services.

Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • Due to facility security requirements, only U.S. citizens are eligible for consideration at this time.
  • Current Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
  • 5 or more years of experience.
  • Experience architecting and operating cloud-based CI/CD services (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, others).
  • 3 or more years of experience within GCP, AWS, and/or Azure.
  • Experience integrating services using REST APIs.
  • Experience transitioning software from local server implementation to a cloud architecture.
  • Bachelor's degree in any Computer Science, Engineering, or another technical field. An additional 4 years of experience with appropriate technical/professional certifications in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.

Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:

  • 10 or more years architecting and operating cloud-based services (Docker, Kubernetes, Jenkins, others)
  • Experience with automated testing/quality (SonarQube, Cucumber, JUnit, similar tools).
  • Experience with modern development languages (Java, Python, Ruby, C++, etc.).
  • Familiarity with the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) mission at Wright-Patterson AFB, OH.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
