Job Description:
An Ocotillo Technology Fabrication (OTF) Shift Group Leader (GL) works a compressed schedule and reports directly to a module team leaders and department managers. The GL will be responsible for the performance, development, and employee relations of technicians working on shifts. The group leader will be responsible for creating and executing a roadmap to meet goals against area/shift metrics in safety, quality, availability, velocity, affordability, and training. The candidate may also be responsible for other activities including IMT leadership, Production leadership or TMI leadership for the factory. Candidate will also be a role model for the culture and set the standard for expectations to living the culture. The candidate will show leadership qualities with a proven track record of delivering results, through people, for a project or sustained effort.
As a manager you will:
  • Set priorities for the team, get results across boundaries, ensure an inclusive work environment, develop employees, and manage performance.
  • Responsible for supervising the activities of product teams or staff in a manufacturing area.
  • Assesses personnel and material levels to determine production schedules.
  • Assigns personnel and monitors the flow of work in process through the manufacturing facility.
  • Establish operating policies and procedures, coordination of multiple functions within a manufacturing facility, establishing strategic plans to ensure production schedules are met within established quality and cost objectives.
  • Responsible for overall safety of personnel, company assets, and the surrounding environment.
  • Plans and schedules daily tasks, uses judgement on a variety of problems requiring deviation from standard practices.

  • This role is applicable to all functional areas and shifts (shifts 4,5,6,7). See shift schedule below. You will be redirected to a functional area aligned with your experience during the interview process and transferred to a functional area manager upon hire.

Shift 4 - Night front half of week - PM-AM Sun-Tues and alternating Saturday nights
Shift 5 - Days front half of week - AM-PM Sun-Tues and alternating Wednesday days
Shift 6 - Night back half of week - PM-AM Wed-Sat and alternating Saturday night
Shift 7 - Days back half of week - AM-PM Thurs-Sat and alternating Wednesday days

Qualifications:
You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. Requirements listed would be obtained through a combination of industry relevant job experience, internship experiences and or schoolwork/classes/research.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 3+ years of experience in the semiconductor fabrication industry

Preferred Qualifications:
  • A demonstrated aptitude to interact with vendor field service engineering support - and manufacturing technicians on toolsets.
  • Previous people management and/or leadership experience
  • Technical expertise within Semiconductor Process engineering and be able to provide technical direction on quality issues.
  • Data analysis skills and have a good understanding of basic statistics.

Annual Salary Range for jobs which could be performed in the US: $89,010.00-170,630.00 USD
The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target compensation for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
