Job Description
A global law firm is seeking a mid-level IP Litigation Associate to join its Intellectual Property and Technology group in the Chicago office. This role will focus on trademark and copyright litigation, including anti-counterfeiting litigation and online enforcement. Responsibilities include managing all aspects of litigation, such as drafting complaints and applications for TROs and preliminary injunctions, handling high-volume discovery, conducting depositions, and preparing dispositive motions and settlement agreements.
The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter who thrives in a team environment and is eager to take ownership of key aspects of cases while developing leadership skills early in their career.
Candidates should have 3-4 years of litigation experience, including managing written discovery, drafting briefs, taking or preparing for depositions, and other core litigation tasks. Strong academic credentials, along with excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills, are required. Prior experience at a regional or national law firm is preferred. Admission to the Illinois Bar or eligibility to waive in is necessary.
