Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dependable Respite Nurse (RN or LPN) to provide in-home nursing care and support for a client, allowing the primary caregiver scheduled relief. The nurse will ensure the client's medical and personal care needs are met while maintaining a safe and comfortable environment.

Job duties:
• Assumes responsibility and accountability for the practice of professional nursing in accordance with Agency policy and standards of practice to ensure effective and appropriate home care services.
• Consistently demonstrates competency with technical nursing skills according to personal and legal scope of practice.
• Communicates effectively and in accordance with Agency requirements.
• Assess' the continuing needs of the patient. Performs initial and ongoing patient's assessments based on Agency policy and standards of practice to ensure effective and appropriate home care services, as needed.
• Participates with team of RNs, LPNs and or Home Health Aides to provide effective and quality home care services.
• Promotes personal safety and a safe environment for patients and coworkers.
• Performs job duties in accordance with Agency policies, procedures, and professional and community standards.

Qualifications:
• Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current license as a Registered Nurse.
• Demonstrated strong and effective written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to deal tactfully with patients and the community.
• Demonstrated organizational and time management skills.
