Job description

Job Summary:
ISPA Technology is seeking a Kubernetes & Ansible Platform Engineer to help design, automate, harden, and sustain a modern platform environment. This role focuses on engineering Kubernetes capabilities and maintaining Ansible automation to support containerized workloads and orchestration services.
Responsibilities:
• Engineer, deploy, and sustain Kubernetes-based platform capabilities supporting containerized workloads and orchestration services.
• Develop and maintain Ansible automation for provisioning, configuration management, patching, baseline enforcement, and operational recovery tasks.
• Support VDI, VI, and container orchestration environments, including systems integration, lifecycle management, and troubleshooting across development and production-like environments.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code and configuration-as-code practices to improve speed, consistency, auditability, and repeatability.
• Partner with systems, cyber, and network engineers to integrate platform services with identity, logging, monitoring, backup, and security controls.
• Document architecture, build procedures, operational playbooks, maintenance processes, and recovery workflows for long-term sustainment.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Experience engineering or administering Kubernetes or comparable container orchestration platforms in enterprise or mission environments.
• Strong experience with Ansible for provisioning, configuration management, and automation at scale.
• Hands-on Linux administration experience, including troubleshooting services, networking, storage, and permissions.
• Working knowledge of virtualization, platform sustainment, and infrastructure integration patterns.
• Ability to create clear technical documentation and operational procedures.
• Ability to work effectively in controlled, security-conscious environments with change management and operational discipline.
Preferred:
• Experience supporting VDI or virtual infrastructure environments.
• Familiarity with CI/CD integration for platform automation.
• Exposure to STIG-aligned hardening, RMF-aware environments, or security scanning workflows.
• Experience with backup, observability, or platform resiliency engineering.
