Description
Hirsch Pipe's Summer Internship Program offers students and recent graduates the opportunity to gain direct practical experience while continuing their education. We hope the internship program will provide younger generations an opportunity to learn about the plumbing trade and wholesale distribution business, as well as be a rewarding experience for their future career choices.
The summer internship is a paid internship for 8 - 12 weeks during the summer school break from mid-May to early September, with work hours of roughly 20 - 40 hours per workweek in a fast-paced branch or corporate office. Interns will receive a hands-on learning experience working in various aspects of the business at selected Hirsch locations based on need. The work could range from branch warehousing learning operations to office work learning different corporate functions such as accounting, marketing, etc.
Requirements
To apply for the summer internship, the interested person must complete an Employment Application, pass a pre-employment drug test and physical, and provide proof of identity and legal ability to work in the US. Applicants under 18 years old must complete a Request for Work Permit (CDE Form B1-1) and submit the Work Permit (CDE Form B1-4) issued by the minor's school district to jobs@hirsch.com before they begin their internship. HR will review each internship application with the supervising manager for placement. Please know internship placement is not guaranteed and will be filled as needed.
