About the job RN Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join a Cardiac Surgery Intensive Care Unit. This role is ideal for nurses with a strong acute care background who are interested in working in a fast-paced, highly collaborative ICU environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for post-cardiac surgery ICU patients
- Perform frequent assessments and close monitoring
- Advocate for patients and families while maintaining privacy and confidentiality
- Educate patients and families on medications and treatment plans
- Work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary care team
- Demonstrate autonomy in clinical decision-making
- 1+ year of Acute Care RN experience (ICU experience not required)
- Active RN license in Florida or Compact State
- ADN required | BSN preferred
- BLS required
- ACLS within 6 months of hire
- NIHSS certification within 30 days
- CCRN preferred (required within 2 years)
- Hourly rate: $27.72 - $39.60 (based on experience)
- Specialty differential: +$2.50/hr
- Night shift differential: +$3/hr
- Weekend differential: +$2/hr
- Sign-on bonus: Up to $15,000 for night shift only (case by case)
