Building Automation Technician

As aBuilding Automation Technician with Frost, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and servicing Frost's Building Automation Systems statewide. Responsibilities will include installing and programming multiple building automation systems to include Johnson Controls Metasys; configuring set points and build integration points for third-party BAS devices; implementing energy conservation measures by monitoring and adjusting BAS devices based on system trend data; troubleshooting and monitoring BMS and UPS issues and tickets on premise and remotely; and identifying root causes, establishing return to service, and documenting resolution procedures. The candidate willconfigure, maintain, and update Uninterruptible Power Sources (UPS) using monitoring and trend software.
Required:
- 3+ years of experience in supporting a Building Automation System in an enterprise environment
- Strong knowledge of tools and techniques used to maintain, diagnose problems, and repair HVAC, lighting, and electrical control systems
- Knowledge and experience with programming, troubleshooting, and repairing multiple DDC systems
- Ability to remain on call after business hours
- Ability to travel to facilities across the state as necessary
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft computer applications
- A Valid Texas state driver's license
Preferred:
- Associate's Degree in Building Systems Technology (BAS), or in a related field
- Expertise and demonstrated experience working in a METASYS BAS environment
