Youve spent years developing your clinical judgment. You know how to assess a patient, recognize when something isnt right and make thoughtful decisions in an environment where things can change quickly.
At Decatur Morgan Hospital, were looking for experienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants who are ready to put that experience to work as an important part of our Emergency Department team.
Three days on. More days to call your own.Our full-time APP schedule is built around three shifts per week, Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. The three-day schedule gives you more days away from work during the week and mornings that dont begin with an alarm before sunrise.
Use your judgment. Know your team has your back.As an APP in our ED, youll evaluate and manage patients with a wide range of urgent and emergent needs. Youll assess patients, develop treatment plans, order and interpret diagnostic testing, perform appropriate procedures and help determine the next steps in care.
Your experience has prepared you to make sound clinical decisions, respond with confidence and play an active role in managing your patients care.
And in emergency medicine, youre never doing it alone.Youll work alongside board-certified emergency medicine physicians, experienced nurses and other healthcare professionals who respect what you bring to the table. When a case calls for collaboration, another perspective or additional support, youll have an experienced team right there with you.
Experience is valued here. The best APPs bring more than clinical knowledge to the ED. They bring confidence, independence of thought and a strong sense of when collaboration can make good care even better.
They know when to act, when to ask and when to bring the team together.
That combination of experience, judgment and teamwork is what we value in an emergency medicine APP at Decatur Morgan.
