Job description

Northwest Healthcare is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Interventional Cardiologist to join our thriving cardiology team at Northwest Medical Center in beautiful Tucson, Arizona. This is a full-time, hospital-employed position within a physician-driven team committed to clinical excellence and patient-centered care.

  • Hospital-employed, full-time position (no locums or part-time)
  • Join an established, collaborative group of 8 physicians and 1 advanced practice provider
  • Well-supported by independent community providers and an established referral base of 100+ employed physicians
  • High procedural volume across interventional cardiology, including high-complexity PCI and structural interventions
  • STEMI call coverage required, currently on a 1:3 rotation, shifting to 1:4–1:5 with additional hires, supported by CTS backup
  • Resident and medical student teaching opportunities available
  • Research opportunities available for physicians with academic or investigative interests
  • Office space conveniently located adjacent to the hospital
  • Physician outreach and marketing support provided to help establish and grow your practice

  • Full spectrum of cardiovascular care, including diagnostic and interventional catheterizations, pacemaker/ICD implantation, and advanced structural procedures such as TAVR
  • Accredited Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI, ensuring rapid, high-quality care for acute coronary events
  • Arizona Cardiac Receiving Center designation, reflecting adherence to state cardiac care protocols
  • Multiple interventional labs, including hybrid suite and newly renovated cath lab, supporting high procedural volume and complex cases
  • Dedicated cardiovascular ICU with specialized nursing and support staff for post-surgical and high-acuity patients
  • Strong procedural support team enabling efficient workflow and robust case exposure

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an Interventional Cardiology Fellowship
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology with residency and fellowship training completed in the United States
