Job description

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct interviews with staff and family to gather background information prior to plan development
  • Create individualized behaviour support plans using ABA and verbal behaviour strategies
  • Analyse data to identify patterns and triggers of problem behaviours
  • Observe individuals in relevant settings to assess behaviour functions
  • Define and measure target behaviours using objective, data-driven systems
  • Design interventions incorporating antecedents, teaching methods, and consequences
  • Ensure interventions align with the function of the behaviour and promote positive change
  • Train staff in person on plan implementation, providing opportunities for Q&A and feedback
  • Monitor behaviour data monthly and document progress

Qualifications
  • Must be certified as a Board Certified Behaviour Analyst (BCBA)
  • Proven experience in ABA and behaviour support planning preferred
