Description
Captivation Software is looking for a entry level software engineer who shall be responsible for developing, sustaining, and troubleshooting the project's software suite of applications. Software development activities include implementation, testing, and integration with other COTS and FOSS products, packages, and libraries.
Requirements
Security Clearance:
  • Must currently hold a Top Secret/SCI U.S. Government security clearance with a favorable Polygraph, therefore all candidates must be a U.S. citizen
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university, plus two (2) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity
  • Four (4) years of experience as a SWE, in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
Required Skills:
  • Experience using the Linux CLI and Linux Tools
  • Experience developing scripts using Bash/Python
  • Recent software development experience using Java
  • Recent software development experience using the Spring Framework including Spring Boot, Spring Data and Spring Integration
  • Experience with NoSQL databases including MongoDB
  • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and containers
  • Experience with container orchestration technologies including Kubernetes
  • Familiar with Messaging Frameworks such as RabbitMQ and Kafka
  • Familiar with CI/CD principles, methodologies, and tools such as Bamboo and GitLab CI
  • Familiar with IaC principles, methodologies, and tools including Ansible
  • Experience using Git Source Control System
Desired Skills:
  • Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite including Jira and Confluence
  • Experience creating Helm Charts to deploy containerized services in a Kubernetes environment
