The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company is looking for a Mid-Level DevOps Developer to join the team in Hazelwood, MO; Aurora, CO; Bellevue, WA; Everett, WA; North Charleston, SC; Fort Walton, FL; Huntsville, AL; Long Beach, CA; Mesa, AZ; Plano, TX; Ridley Park, PA or Salt Lake City, UT.
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead Application Rationalization efforts that streamline our application portfolio, reduce technical risk, and prepare systems for cloud adoption. This role will coordinate cross-functional teams, manage stakeholder engagement, and deliver measurable outcomes aligned with our Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) Optimization strategy.
Position Responsibilities:
Work closely with product owners, technical integrators, architects, and cross-functional teams in agile environments to deliver cloud migration user stories and technical tasks
Design, build, and maintain automated CI/CD pipelines to support cloud migration across Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, or equivalent for multi-cloud provisioning and management
Develop and maintain automation scripts, tooling, and reusable patterns to streamline migration and operational tasks across cloud environments
Leverage cloud services and container orchestration platforms such as AWS, Azure, GCP, EKS, AKS, and GKE to build scalable, secure, and highly available environments
Collaborate with architecture, data engineering, and platform teams to support multi-cloud deployments and integration with enterprise platforms
Apply a security-first approach to solution design, infrastructure, documentation, and cloud service support
Ensure compliance with security policies, architecture standards, and operational best practices across cloud platforms
Monitor system performance, availability, and security using cloud-native monitoring tools and implement automated remediation where appropriate
Participate in incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and 3rd-level escalation support for server, network, and cloud platform issues
Create and maintain software design documentation, DevOps process documentation, and best practices to support onboarding and knowledge sharing
Proactively identify technical debt, participate in continuous improvement efforts, and support architecture implementation throughout the system development lifecycle
Work effectively across multiple products, locations, teams, time zones, and external partners
BasicQualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years experience in DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, software engineering, or cloud engineering
3+ years experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or ARM templates
3+ years experience with GitLab, Azure DevOps and CI/CD (Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
3+ years experience with scripting skills in Python, JavaScript, Bash, PowerShell, or Node.js
Experience with cloud-platform technologies (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience
Experience with monitoring, logging, and incident response tools such as CloudWatch, Azure Monitor, or Splunk
Experience with high-availability, resilient service configurations, and cloud security best practices
Relevant certifications in cloud platforms, DevOps, or infrastructure automation tools
Experience working in multi-cloud environments, including AWS, Azure, and GCP
Experience managing containerized workloads on Kubernetes platforms such as Amazon EKS, Azure AKS, or Google GKE
Experience implementing automated security and compliance controls in DevOps pipelines
Familiarity with AI/ML deployment pipelines and MLOps practices
Experience with system administration, Linux, Windows, and associated tooling such as Maven, Unix tools, Confluence, ADO, and JIRA
Experience with Agile and Lean methodologies
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, collaboration, and communication skills in cross-functional teams
