Vice President, Sales - West Region

Who we are looking for:

Atkore is currently recruiting for a Vice President, Sales - West Region for Electrical Sales to drive the electrical growth strategy across business units within the Western region. The Vice President, Sales - West Region manages regional sales managers and is responsible for growing electrical product market share within their territory on an annual basis. This position is a leadership role that reports directly to the President, Commercial Operations.

What you’ll do:

  • Develop sales objectives, strategies, , commercial programs and promotions as well as developing and evaluating new product ideas to meet the organization’s growth objectives.
  • Develop sales reports and report out results to executive officers.
  • Develop a market-based business plan and sales strategy to ensure attainment of company sales goals, volume goals, and profitability
  • Lead a team of direct reports for performance and accountability while successfully influencing non direct reports for alignment and action
  • Develop and implement Agent Strategy to meet or exceed profitable sales growth targets.
  • Responsible for incremental and profitable business growth in the defined territory while maintaining stability of long-term business relationships with agents, distributor partners, and customers.
  • Monitor external and internal customer feedback to measure performance and identify strategies to drive process improvement.
  • Manage the regional sales managers and defined territories for all Atkore products and solutions
  • Direct and prepare incentive compensation strategies to determine sales effectiveness and revise plans to increase productivity.
  • Work collaboratively to develop and establish rewards and recognition programs to enhance performance production
  • In all cases, lead with integrity and always demonstrate respect for coworkers, partners, and customers.

What you’ll bring:

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Characteristics consistent with Atkore core values.
  • A clear understanding of the electrical distribution industry and the significance of manufacturer agency representation.
  • A proven track record of growth and performance from within the electrical industry.
  • Strong management and leadership skills. 

    Within 3 months, you’ll:

    • Have successfully immersed within the business, and fully understand how you directly impact our strategic goals and priorities. 
    • Built strong relationships with your direct reports and teams across the business 
    • Immersed yourself with the provided materials and tools to support your product knowledge

    Within 6 months, you’ll:

    • Autonomously manage the region to deliver the strategy and goals
    • Have met with core customers and identified how you and your teams should deliver their needs
    • Know the short, medium and longer term deliverables of as part of our GET2X2 strategy.
    • Made inroads in increasing results across both profit and market share 

      
    Within 12 months, you’ll:

    • Be part of the strategic planning process for the upcoming fiscal year
    • Ensuring you have the right focus on Talent Commitment as part of GET2X2 
    • Have made good initial impact within the market and forging strong internal and external relationships

     As of the date of this posting, a good faith estimate of the current pay for this position is $196,400 - $270,050.  Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.  Other compensation may include, but not limited to, overtime, shift differentials, bonuses, commissions, stock, and other incentives.
