IT Project Manager
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid) Duration: 6 Months
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager with a solid background in Business Analysis, a good understanding of Application Development, and ideally, experience in the airline industry. Experience with IATA or STAR Alliance is a definite plus. The successful candidate will be proficient in project management methodologies, possess strong business analysis skills, and have a good technical grasp of application development concepts. This position is responsible for the efficient management and execution of a single, significant project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise the execution of the project, ensuring completion within the set timeline.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to align the project with business objectives.
- Utilize business analysis skills to identify business needs, define project scope and objectives, and propose solutions that deliver value to stakeholders.
- Leverage understanding of application development to guide the project team and address any technical issues that might arise.
- Develop a comprehensive project plan, including resource allocation, timeline, and budget.
- Continuously monitor project progress and provide detailed scheduled reports on measurable items such as milestones and deliverables.
- Effectively communicate project expectations, updates, and potential risks to team members and stakeholders.
- Identify and manage potential risks or setbacks, implementing effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Work with global teams, which may require participating in early morning and evening meetings from time to time.
