Job Description
Summary of Position
The GIS Analyst is responsible for maintaining GIS data, creating maps and geospatial reports, and providing spatial analysis to meet business needs. The GIS Analyst ensures GIS users leverage accurate and relevant spatial information to create insight for high-value decisions across the company.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in GIS support responsibilities, including geospatial data editing, map production, and spatial analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of Esri ArcGIS Desktop (version 10.6 or higher) and ArcGIS Pro
  • Experience with Esri ModelBuilder
  • Understanding of Python and the ArcPy library
  • Experience with GIS database editing in a multi-user environment, QA/QC processes, and geoprocessing
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relational databases
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to effectively manage large amounts of data
  • High level of initiative, willingness to assume responsibility, and ability to multi-task while meeting multiple deadlines
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Attention to detail required
  • Willingness to travel (5% – 10%)
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong knowledge of ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Business Analyst, ArcGIS Server, and Portal for ArcGIS
  • Experience with Alteryx
  • Experience with R, JavaScript, VBScript, and Tableau
  • Experience with Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, and/or SQL Server Management Studio
  • Experience with Geocortex
  • Interest in GIS application and web development
  • GISP or Esri Certification a plus
  • Retail experience

Responsibilities
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
  • Maintain GIS content to ensure datasets and spatial tools are current, accurate, and relevant.
    • Edit, analyze, perform quality control, and create/maintain metadata on existing GIS datasets
    • Use geoprocessing tools, geocoding services, and spatial overlays to create, edit, and enrich both spatial and non-spatial datasets
    • Research and implement opportunities to improve decision-making with enhanced GIS data quality
    • Interact with enterprise data systems using Python, SQL Server Management Studio, ArcCatalog, and Alteryx to update GIS datasets
  • Create and maintain mapping products and proximity reports to meet business needs across the organization.
  • Configure and publish ArcGIS map services
  • Maintain enterprise GIS software and infrastructure. Create and update documentation on GIS maintenance and monitoring processes resulting in SOPs.
  • Support GIS users, including senior management, through training, technical support, map production, and spatial analysis.
  • Prepare ad hoc analyses and mapping requests.
