Title: Radiology - Cath Lab TechnicianDuration: 13 Weeks (with possibility of extension)Shift: Day Shift – 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM (4x10 hour shifts)Location: Port St. Lucie, FL 34987Job Description:The Cath Lab Technician will support physicians and healthcare teams in a fast-paced Cardiac Cath Lab environment by assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiovascular procedures. The ideal candidate must have strong Cardiac Cath Lab experience along with experience in at least one additional modality such as Interventional Radiology, Vascular, or Neuro. Experience in at least two of the four modalities must be clearly reflected in the candidate's work history.Roles and Responsibilities:• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures• Prepare and maintain Cath Lab equipment and sterile field before and during procedures• Perform scrub and circulator duties while following sterile technique and infection control standards• Monitor patients during procedures and recognize life-threatening arrhythmias or dysrhythmias• Assist with procedures including PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, left and right heart catheterization, and IABP placement/removal• Ensure accurate equipment setup and procedural documentation• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide safe and efficient patient care• Float within scope to affiliated facilities as neededRequired Qualifications:• Minimum 18 months of recent Cath Lab experience required; 2 years preferred• Must have experience in at least two of the following modalities: Cardiac Cath, Interventional Radiology, Vascular, or Neuro• ARRT(R), RCIS, or Certified/Registered Cardiovascular Tech (RCVT) preferred• Must have active AHA ACLS and BLS certifications• Must be comfortable floating to Martin North, Martin South, and Tradition facilities within 20 miles
