About our Team
Our infrastructure teams build and operate the backend systems that power Amplitude's products at massive scale - handling more than 1 trillion events per month. We work on the systems that move, store, transform, and serve customer data: real-time and batch ingestion, identity resolution, data import and export connectors, privacy and compliance, and the operational reliability of everything in between.
As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll take on complex infrastructure challenges: designing for extreme throughput, optimizing for millisecond latencies, and building resilient systems that run with close to zero downtime. You'll work closely with Product and partner engineering teams to shape the roadmap and turn customer needs into reliable, well-architected systems. Our stack is primarily Java and Python, running on Kafka, Temporal, DynamoDB, Amazon S3, Snowflake, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
This is a senior role, so beyond your own delivery you'll be a technical anchor for the team: leading design discussions, mentoring engineers, and raising the bar for how we build.
