About the Team

The PATH programs work with individuals in the community who have a serious mental illness or have a co-occurring disorder and are experiencing homelessness. The PATH team provides community-based outreach and services to connect individuals to mental health services and stable housing. The project focuses on some of the community’s most acute citizens with chronic mental illness and substance abuse that have not accessed available resources. This outreach position is based in the homeless camps and other places not meant for habitation in the community.

What You’ll Do

  • Build relationships with individuals that are homeless and not engaged in supportive services
  • Assist clients in engagement in services, accessing resources, and determining their next step towards housing
  • Spend time out in the community working with people; minimal work is done in the office in this position

Good To Know

  • Position is based in Anchorage, Alaska
  • Part-Time, Non-Exempt
  • Pay Range is $19.23 to $26.02 depending on experience. This position is eligible for a $500 sign on bonus and annual incentive opportunities up to $4,000!
  • Scheduling may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Part-time positions are eligible for paid time off and two floating holidays per year as well as participation in our annual incentive plan.

What We Need from You

  • You have a high school diploma or GED
  • You have experience in recovery from mental illness, homeless services, re-entry, substance abuse and/or co-occurring disorders, or disability services
  • You have one to two years of volunteer experience in the mental health and/or substance abuse fields and are willing to become Peer Certified as part of your initial onboarding
