Test Technician

Location: Mount Pleasant, WI
Employment Type: Direct Hire
Shifts Available: 2nd & 3rd Shift
Pay Rate: $24–28/hour (based on experience)


Job Summary

We are seeking a Test Technician to support production by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving manufacturing test stations and equipment. This role serves as a key escalation point for production test issues, working closely with Repair Technicians and Test Engineers to diagnose failures, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions in a fast?paced manufacturing environment.

This position is ideal for a hands?on technician with hardware, testing, and basic Linux experience who thrives in a production setting and wants to grow within smart manufacturing.


Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and resolve sustaining production test issues escalated from Repair Technicians
  • Diagnose failures, perform root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions
  • Monitor and maintain test station performance, including procurement, maintenance, troubleshooting, and improvement of test equipment
  • Monitor ORT (On?Going Reliability Tests) and RDT (Reliability Demonstration Tests) and report issues to Test Engineers
  • Create, document, and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) for manufacturing test processes
  • Analyze RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) test fallout and coordinate with vendors on failure analysis results
  • Maintain records and documentation related to test issues and failures
  • Assist Test Engineers with test station setup, modeling, pre?pilot, and pilot runs
  • Support daily production needs and participate in continuous improvement activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • Ability to read and interpret test logs
  • Basic understanding of Linux/UNIX
  • Experience working with network equipment such as switches
  • Hands?on experience with computer hardware (CPUs, NICs, memory, etc.)
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as required
  • Comfortable working in high?pressure, fast?paced production environments
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive motions; some climbing required
  • Willingness to follow safety procedures in environments with physical hazards
