State Tax Analyst - Remote

Role Overview:

The State Tax Analyst is responsible for assisting our State and Local Tax team with income tax compliance, property tax compliance, tax provision preparation, and various other related operations and activities.

This is a remote position in the US. We will only consider candidates currently in the US and are not offering relocation assistance at this time.

About the Job:

• Draft and complete various state and local tax filings.
• Prepare state and local tax modifications, multi-state allocations, and apportionment for use in tax provisions and compliance.
• Assist in the resolution of income, franchise, and property tax notices
• Assist in state and local income tax research analysis
• Assist with monitoring for changes in legislation and other regulatory developments
• Update monthly tax compliance calendars as required to maintain accuracy.
• Communicate with team members and outside consultants on tax compliance-related matters.
• Monitor centralized state email to ensure timely response to inbound requests.
• Assist with the implementation of process improvements and data automation
• Assist other team members as required.

About You:

• Preferably a Degree in Accounting or other related fields.
• 1 - 2 years of relevant tax experience within the last 2 years.
• Excellent analytical skills and focused attention to detail
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and Adobe PDF documents.
• Highly effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Enjoys working in a team-oriented atmosphere
• Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately
• Advanced degree in Accounting or Tax is a strong plus
• Experience in OneSource OTP and/or Corptax
• Having a strong passion for state tax.
