Sanitation Supervisor Job Summary

Our food production facility is currently looking for a Sanitation Supervisor. In this role, you directly manage our sanitation staff and inventory, ensuring that employees adhere to our SSOP as well as local and federal regulations. This role is essential to the health and success of our business, and you should take pride in the fact that the items we produce uphold the highest quality standards. We are looking for someone who can prevent issues before they affect production, so you should have a working knowledge of HAACP. You must also be familiar with the safe application of disinfectants and other chemicals.

Sanitation Supervisor Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily sanitation operations
  • Schedule and train sanitation employees
  • Maintain inventory of disinfectant and other cleaning supplies
  • Keep documentation of cleaning schedule
  • Update our SSOP (sanitation standard operating procedure) as needed
  • Conduct workplace audits to ensure compliance with FDA regulations
  • Follow SQF (safe quality food) policies and GMPs (good manufacturing practices)

Sanitation Supervisor Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED certificate
  • Bachelor's degree (a plus)
  • Experience in a food production environment
  • Management experience (a plus)
  • Working knowledge of HAACP (hazard analysis and critical control points)
  • Communication skills
  • Basic computer skills
