Nurse Consultant Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified, motivated individual to join our clinical staff as a Nurse Consultant. As part of our team, you provide education and support to caregivers, families, and patients, allowing for ideal recovery and treatment conditions. You provide education regarding how best to follow physician orders, medication administration, and how to take and record medical information, among other topics. In liaising between patients, caregivers, and medical staff, you ensure the highest possible quality of care and attention to each individual patient's specific needs and challenges. Our ideal candidate has a valid RN license, at least two years of experience as a registered nurse, and superb communication and organizational skills.

Nurse Consultant Duties and Responsibilities

  • Liaise with patients and caregivers one-on-one and in groups to provide education regarding care, medication, and physician recommendations
  • Demonstrate simple competencies like taking and recording vitals
  • Work with patients to understand their specific challenges and needs, and make suitable recommendations
  • Follow up with patients and caregivers after emergency visits to provide additional assistance and consultation

Nurse Consultant Requirements and Qualifications

  • Valid state registered nursing (RN) license
  • Two years of experience as a registered nurse in a hospital or clinic environment
  • BLS certification
  • Good multitasking and organizational abilities
  • Strong communication skills
