Lab Technician Job Summary

We are looking for a qualified Lab Technician to join our analysis team. You will be responsible for examining raw materials when they arrive, preparing samples for testing, performing analysis on the samples according to company protocols, accurately documenting all findings, and inputting results into our database. We expect you to follow all safety protocols and ensure tools and equipment are maintained properly. Our ideal candidate has at least two years of experience in a commercial laboratory setting and a solid knowledge of microbiology.

Lab Technician Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare samples for testing
  • Run a variety of tests according to project specifications
  • Document all findings accurately and input data into our recordkeeping system
  • Clean and store all tools and equipment

Lab Technician Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field
  • 2+ years of commercial lab experience (preferred)
  • Familiar with good laboratory practice (GLP)
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
  • Able to work independently
  • Attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
