Culinary Manager Job Summary

We are seeking a creative and passionate Culinary Manager to oversee our menu changes and daily food operations. In this role, you will train kitchen staff on quality food preparation, how to prepare menu recipes, proper sanitary habits, cleaning and food storage procedures, and presentation and plating techniques. We also expect our Culinary Manager to manage food inventory and equipment, as well as develop ways to streamline operations while still ensuring high standards for food preparation. Candidates should have at least two years of high-volume food preparation experience, including some leadership and staff training roles.

Culinary Manager Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise culinary staff throughout the shift to ensure proper food preparation and sanitary clean-up
  • Hire and train new staff
  • Monitor inventory levels and order more supplies as necessary
  • Inspect tools and equipment and request replacement or repairs when required

Culinary Manager Requirements and Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of culinary arts program (preferred)
  • 2+ years of high-volume food preparation experience
  • Leadership roles a plus
  • ServSafe Certification
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Flexible schedule
