Accounts Receivable Accountant Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified, motivated individual to join our company as an Accounts Receivable Accountant. As part of our team, you will maintain and administer accounts receivable records and files, process credit card payments, prepare daily financial reports, and facilitate collections as necessary. Our preferred candidate has at least a bachelor's degree in accounting, business finance, or a related field. We strongly prefer candidates with CPA licensure. You must have five or more years of experience in an accounts receivable environment, including experience with reconciling accounts, making deposits, managing a general ledger, and creating reports for stakeholders.

Accounts Receivable Accountant Duties and Responsibilities

  • Prepare daily financial reports for executive leadership and stakeholders
  • Process credit card payments and resolve potential discrepancies
  • Facilitate collection from overdue accounts as necessary
  • Track and record payments remitted and services rendered

Accounts Receivable Accountant Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, or a related field
  • CPA licensure highly preferred
  • Five or more years of experience in an accounts receivable or accounts payable environment
  • Experience with account reconciliation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with invoicing and data entry software
  • Proficiency with all standard accounting and presentation software and platforms
