Position Overview
The Strategy Consultant helps set long-range corporate strategy, track industry trends, evaluate internal & external market opportunities, and support leadership in aligning resources to deliver on those strategies. This position works with leaders from across the company to establish and clearly communicate the company's long-range strategy. On an ad-hoc basis, this position also regularly supports key strategic initiatives throughout the company. This person is also responsible for supporting a collaborative environment that promotes positive teamwork where all members are working for the good of Exact Sciences, now part of Abbott. The successful candidate will demonstrate outstanding strategic thinking, collaboration, and communication.

Essential Duties include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the strategy and executive teams as they make key strategic decisions.
  • Prepare high-quality presentations for internal and external audiences.
  • Advise business leaders by providing data-based strategic direction to identify and address business issues and opportunities.
  • Participate in the development of long-range strategies.
  • Create and execute analytics solutions that lead to improvement and optimization in business performance and risk minimization.
  • Work in collaboration with other business leaders to drive decisions based on data, facts, and analytical findings across the organization.
  • Build and maintain models to support fact-based decision making with regards to long range planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Conduct quantitative and qualitative market research to aid the prioritization of corporate strategies (new products, product expansions, M&A, etc.).
  • Build models to assist in the evaluation of new products and strategies.
  • Evaluate individual market opportunities by assessing clinical need, reimbursement outlook, estimating market size, understanding product capabilities. Will require market research (qual and quant), literature reviews, internal coordination and research. Effectively communicate findings to Leadership.
  • Support ad-hoc strategy projects involving market research, external consultants, and internal cross-functional teams.
  • Analyze new product markets and help determine early commercialization strategies.
  • Apply strong analytical skills, business intuition, and organizational ability skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to operate in a cross cultural and complex matrix environment.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 3+ years of experience working in a core business function (e.g., operations, facilities, finance, legal, human resources, etc.), with demonstrated ability to effectively contribute toward team goals
  • 1+ years of experience working in corporate strategy, investment banking, business development, consulting, analytics, strategic marketing, or commercial strategy.
  • Basic computer skills to include Internet navigation, Email usage, and word processing.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office to include Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform the Essential Duties of the position with or without accommodation.
  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Background in Math, Science, Engineering, Business or Finance.
  • 4+ years of experience working in a core business function (e.g., operations, facilities, finance, legal, human resources, etc.), with demonstrated ability to effectively contribute toward team goals.
  • Experience in a healthcare related field.
  • Advanced skills in PowerPoint and/or Excel.
  • Familiarity with data analytics and financial modeling.

The base pay for this position is

$61,300.00 - $122,700.00
