Position: Senior Logistics Specialist

Type: Full-time

Location: San Diego, CA

Travel: 10%

**Contingent Upon Award**

Position Summary: The Senior Logistics Specialist manages Naval Special Warfare Command's Operational Stock Program, ensuring effective tracking, accountability, and readiness of equipment issued to supported units. This position serves as a centralized logistics professional coordinating equipment loan requests, inventory management, requisition tracking, and compliance with DoD property accountability requirements. The role directly supports NSW logistics leadership by providing data driven insights, readiness metrics, and coordination across multiple commands and support organizations.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage NSW Operational Stock Program
  • Process and track equipment loan and issue requests
  • Perform inventory management and reconciliation
  • Manage requisition tracking and logistics metrics
  • Ensure compliance with FIAR and property accountability requirements
  • Coordinate with NSW staff, subordinate commands, and supporting agencies
  • Support logistics inspections, audits, and readiness assessments
  • Prepare reports for Command, DoD, and Federal reporting requirements
  • Conduct equipment inspections and monitor expeditionary training support

Required Qualifications:

  • U.S. citizen
  • Must hold an active Secret Security Clearance
  • Ability to obtain installation access credentials
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in Government facilities and controlled areas
  • Compliance with drug-free workforce requirements
  • Minimum 5 years in DoD logistics or inventory management
  • Experience with Defense Property Accountability System (DPAS / ELMS)
  • Knowledge of DoD, USSOCOM, and NSW property management procedures
  • Experience managing motorized and expeditionary equipment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience supporting audits or FIAR-related compliance
  • Strong coordination and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Ability to work in office and warehouse/logistics environment
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs occasionally
  • Standing, walking, bending, and climbing between office and storage areas
  • Occasional exposure to warehouse or field environments

The employee frequently is required to use foot/ankle motions, hands or fingers, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls. The employee is required to stand, walk, sit; and reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
