Aviation Logistics Analyst
On Site | Elizabeth City, NC | Public Trust Required

The Aviation Logistics Analyst role provides logistics and depot maintenance support to U.S. Coast Guard MRS aviation assets, including the C-27J Spartan, HC-144 Ocean Sentry, MH-60T Jayhawk, and MH-65D/E Dolphin. Supporting the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Aviation Logistics Center (ALC) Technical Support Services (TSS) contract in Elizabeth City, NC, this position contributes to mid-range aircraft sustainment activities across engineering, supply, configuration management, and depot-level maintenance processes.

What You Will Do
• Draft Maintenance Procedure Cards (MPCs) enabling technicians to properly sustain mid-range USCG aircraft including C-27J Spartan, HC-144 Ocean Sentry, MH-60T Jayhawk, and MH-65D/E Dolphin. Write engineering specifications, including schematics and figures, to document approved depot-level repairs and processes.
• Review drafts of technical publications and technical drawings, including wiring diagrams, for content and format. Submit change requests for updates to aeronautical publications when applicable.
• Monitor changes to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM), USCG, and other services technical directives relating to logistics support including maintenance, technical data, support and test equipment, facilities, supply support, packaging, handling, storage, transportation, training, training devices, computer resources, design interface, configuration management, and deficiencies for applicability to mid-range USCG aircraft. Provide recommendations for action to the applicable engineering cell leader for Government action.
• Conduct market research to collect and assemble information including technical data packages, price, availability, quality initiatives, source approval and validation processes, vendor capabilities, and vendor past performance.
• Initiate, conduct, and complete Spare Parts Breakout (SPBO) projects, including full and limited screen breakouts, supporting mid-range aircraft sustainment. Coordinate assignments with Product Line Manager, Engineering Cell, and Supply Cell. Provide information regarding potential cost avoidance of each SPBO project and submit documentation and recommendations to the Government for acceptance.
• Generate Supply Inventory Change Records (SICRs) for applicable aircraft parts and submit each SICR with supporting documentation to the Government for acceptance.
• Generate Time Compliant Technical Orders (TCTOs) for applicable aircraft systems, sub-systems, assemblies, and/or parts. Assist in validation and verification of TCTOs and track parts required for TCTO kits.
• Generate and execute Engineering Service Requests.
• Conduct reverse engineering efforts as required to support mid-range aircraft sustainment and depot-level maintenance activities.
• Write, review, and update logistics policy, procedure, and process documents.
• Provide troubleshooting assistance to Air Stations supporting mid-range aircraft operations.
• Participate in meetings for technical, production, or programmatic issues.

What We Are Looking For

Required:
• Ten (10) years’ experience with aviation airframe maintenance. Maintenance experience includes either mechanic or engineering technician positions.
• Demonstrated experience supporting mid-range aircraft platforms such as C-27J, HC-144, MH-60, or MH-65.
• Within the ten (10) years, demonstrated experience in the following areas:
â–ª Providing technical support for search, detection, navigation, other electronic components, subsystems, systems and ground support equipment.
â–ª Researching and analyzing information contained in aircraft maintenance records and providing detailed reports for aircraft pre-induction.
â–ª Performing directed management studies, analyses, reviews and verifications to establish requirements and standards; conducting data analyses and research for decision support; performing technology upgrade investigations; and conducting system enhancement studies.
â–ª Reviewing maintenance records for aircraft.
â–ª Writing technical specifications including schematics and figures for the express purpose of documenting approved depot-level repairs and processes.
â–ª Providing onsite technical support for approved prototypes and installation of system modifications.
â–ª Developing and writing aviation documentation including maintenance procedures, schematics, and figures.
