For more than 55 years, Roxbury Tenants of Harvard Association (RTH) has been a leader in affordable housing, community development, youth engagement, health and wellness, workforce development, and aging well services in Boston's Mission Hill neighborhood.

We serve a vibrant and diverse community of approximately 2,000 residents across more than 1,100 housing units. We are seeking an energetic, organized, and passionate Program Coordinator to help lead and coordinate programs for youth ages 13โ€“19. Position Summary

The Program Coordinator is responsible for the daily coordination, implementation, and administration of teen programs and activities. Working closely with the Director of Teen Programs, this position helps create safe, inclusive, educational, and engaging experiences that support positive youth development, leadership, wellness, and community involvement.

What You'll DoProgram Coordination & Youth Engagement
  • Plan, organize, and facilitate engaging programs and activities for teens ages 13โ€“19.

  • Coordinate schedules, logistics, materials, and program implementation.

  • Build positive relationships with teen participants and their families.

  • Foster a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive environment.

  • Monitor program effectiveness and recommend improvements based on participant feedback.

  • Support workshops, events, educational activities, leadership programs, and community engagement initiatives.

Community Partnerships
  • Develop relationships with schools, community organizations, and local partners.

  • Assist with collaborative programming and special events.

  • Connect youth with resources, opportunities, and community supports.

Administration & Compliance
  • Maintain attendance records, participant information, and program documentation.

  • Assist with budget tracking and expense monitoring.

  • Prepare reports on participation, outcomes, and program performance.

  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies and applicable health and safety regulations.

  • Monitor participant safety and report concerns appropriately.

Team Collaboration
  • Work collaboratively with staff, volunteers, residents, and community stakeholders.

  • Assist in training and supporting volunteers and program assistants.

  • Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and organizational initiatives.

QualificationsRequired
  • Associate's degree in Social Work, Education, Recreation, Human Services, or a related field.

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in youth programming, program coordination, recreation, education, or related work.

  • Experience working with diverse youth populations.

  • Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and basic data management systems.

  • CPR/AED and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.

Preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.

  • Experience in community-based or nonprofit youth development programs.

  • Experience coordinating events, workshops, or leadership programs for teens.
