The XR DevX Infra team is developing systems, tools and processes to improve developer experience and velocity for Android XR. We support developers, partners and stakeholders to deliver on a regular cadence, with maximum velocity and trust.

Google's XR team is at the forefront of the next major leap – the convergence of AI and XR. This is more than just new devices – it's about reimagining how we interact with the world around us. We're building a future where lightweight XR devices like smart glasses and headsets pair with helpful AI to augment human intelligence, offering personalized, conversational, and contextually aware experiences. Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $207000 - $300000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + equity + benefits

  • Design, implement, deploy, maintain, enhance and stay abreast of latest complex software solutions that improve the developer workflow, code quality, and release velocity.
  • Lead the technical design and implementation of projects, making key architectural and technical decisions to improve virtual device's fidelity, velocity and stability to scale AI testing workflow on virtual devices.
  • Develop and integrate AI-powered features into developer tools to assist with code generation, code review, test generation, bug detection/triaging, and more, increasingly leveraging AI/ML.
  • Collaborate closely with various engineering teams to understand their needs, gather requirements, and drive the adoption of new tools and best practices. Contribute to and lead design reviews, code reviews, and discussions on system architecture.
  • Define and track metrics to measure the impact of tools and process improvements on developer productivity and system health.
